RECAP: Refraction NYC

We've spent the last week archiving our exhibitions and reflecting on the importance of art, culture and community. Refraction’s NFT.NYC events started with a new solo exhibition from Sarah Friend called Off: Endgame at Public Works Administration, and culminated in our first major exhibition as a DAO at ZeroSpace (featuring over 70 artists and music from Aluna, Latasha, Prefuse73, JWords and dreamcastmoe). We also were able to host a private artist’s reception at Café Balearica and a hangout at The Lot Radio. Through all of these events, we solidified our mission as a DAO, and came a little closer to reaching our ultimate goal — nurturing a global community of established and emerging artists with whom we can build equitable, safe, incredible events. 

The response to the exhibition from our community and beyond has been incredible, and we’d like to take a moment to thank each of our artists, sponsors, venue partners and team members for helping us pull off a fantastic week.
